Using AI to unlock operational insights

Aramco is deploying advanced digital and AI technologies to improve operational performance while supporting emissions reduction. Its “Energy Efficiency Reporting Portal,” an Agentic AI platform, has been successfully deployed, integrating advanced AI with extensive operational data to improve the efficiency, consistency, and transparency of reporting. The platform demonstrates how AI can support data-driven decision-making at scale, helping identify operational insights and opportunities for improved performance. By year-end 2025, the strategic deployment of digital solutions and advanced technologies realized $5.3 billion in Total Realized Value (TRV). AI emerged as the primary catalyst for this growth, contributing $2.6 billion while simultaneously accelerating cost reduction and decarbonization efforts.

Turning data into energy efficiency

Alongside digital transformation, Aramco’s Decarbonization Energy Efficiency Program (DEEP) is delivering targeted measures to reduce energy consumption and associated emissions while maintaining production capabilities. In 2025, Aramco implemented 138 new energy-efficiency initiatives, delivering approximately 3,192 MMBtu/hr of energy savings and avoiding 1.57 MMtCO₂e. The program is adopting new digital solutions to identify efficiency opportunities, monitor performance, and support continuous improvement across all Saudi Aramco facilities.

Combining digital innovation with emissions reduction

Together, the initiatives demonstrate how combining AI-enabled analytics with energy-efficiency measures can help embed emissions reduction into everyday operational decision-making, while delivering benefits in efficiency, transparency and performance.
