Omar is a Programme Manager in OGCI’s Low Carbon Solutions team, where he leads and coordinates collaborative initiatives focused on decarbonizing transport, sustainable fuels, and low-carbon mobility. He works with OGCI member companies and external stakeholders to develop strategic insights, manage technical studies, and advance practical solutions that support the transition to a net-zero energy system.
Before joining OGCI, he was a Senior Consultant at Ricardo/WSP, advising on sustainable fuels, industrial decarbonization and low-carbon technology commercialization. He previously worked as a research associate at City University of London on advanced thermal power systems and as a Project Engineer at Petrofac on large-scale oil and gas EPC projects. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of London and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Birzeit University.
